Dan and Mark
Dan served our country as a military officer for nearly a decade. Instead of deploying around the world, his mission is now to serve the residents of Morris Township. Dan is confident that, as a team, he and Mark possess the necessary skill sets to bring new energy and fresh perspectives to be the voice of constituents in Morris Township.
Dan was born and raised in Bergenfield, NJ. He attended Bergenfield High School and went on to graduate with distinction from the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in engineering. Upon graduation, Dan was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy and went on to become a Naval aviator flying MH-6oS helicopters. Dan served nearly ten years on active duty, amassing nearly 1,800 flight hours while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and the global war on terrorism. Upon leaving the service, Dan earned an MBA at Columbia University and worked as an investment banker on Wall Street advising companies on financial and strategic transactions. He currently works at a Fortune 15 company.
Mark believes Morris Township is ready for new leadership. The status quo is no longer sufficient; Morris Township’s 21st century challenges deserve 21st century solutions. Mark asserts that we need to keep taxes low – that’s his highest priority and it’s also Dan’s highest priority – but they know they can do more.
Mark was born and raised in Morris Township. He is a Morristown High School graduate who went on to study government and counterterrorism at the University of Maryland. Mark later worked for U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (NJ-08), advising the Congressman on homeland security, veterans’ affairs and financial services policies. A volunteer firefighter for nearly a decade, Mark continues his service as a member of Morris Township’s Hillside Hose Company No. 1 and works in the financial services industry.
